Description: Bound 1000-page Letter Book containing 360 pages of letters from Josiah Paull, Manager at South Crofty Mine written between 1917 and 1925. Thirty-four sample pages shown here refer to assay work and valuation of minerals for other companies, casks of arsenic, employment, trade unions (p33) pumping water around the East Pool area including reference to Robinson’s (p73) ceasing pumping in October 1921 (p83 and p88), Cornish Pumping Engines (p152), unemployment in the area in July 1922 (p153) and the new shaft at East Pool striking elvan (p157).
