Friday 4th March 2016
Exchange Building, Penryn Campus
12 until 1
Interested in the links between Cornwall and Wales? Do you have an interest in Cornwall’s maritime history? If so then you are invited to come along to an informal meeting at the Lecture Room at the Exchange Building at Penryn Campus on Friday 4th March. Phil Hosken and Garry Tregidga will give a short presentation about the project and invite volunteers to get involved in a community-based project. Our first aim is to develop greater insight into the significant trade and maritime connections that linked Cornwall and South Wales in the nineteenth century. We are looking for stories relating to these community connections that may have been passed down through families, help with building up information from newspapers and historical documents and assistance with promoting the project. We look forward to seeing you on the day!
